CHICAGO POLISH MUSEUM OFFERS PISANKI & PALM WEAVING WORKSHOP
The Polish Museum of America is offering its annual workshop on the intricate arts of Polish egg decorating (pisanki) and palm weaving on Saturday, March 23, 2013 in the Social Hall of The Polish Roman Catholic Union. Both the museum and the union are located at 984 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago.
The pisanki workshop will be from 10 a.m. to noon while the palm weaving is scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. Participants may register for either session or both. Children over 8 years of age may also participate in both sessions if accompanied by an adult. The fee for the pisanki workshop is $20 and the palm weaving, $15.
Participants attending both sessions may purchase a build-a-sandwich lunch from Casia’s Deli for $8. Space is limited and payments must be received before the day of the workshop. Walk-ins may be turned away. Parking is free.
